Our story
Built on engineering, not just flying.
Drone Tech Aerospace was founded in 2014, growing out of custom drone engineering work that began the year before.
We're a private limited company, owned outright by our two directors, and we carry no debt.
David Field (Managing Director, Founder & Head Pilot) and John Palmer (Operations & Business Development Director) have grown the business from bespoke equipment building into one of the UK's established drone survey and inspection providers.

In-house pilots and technicians
Every pilot and survey technician is employed by DTA — never white-labelled subcontractors passed off as our own.
Proprietary equipment
Where off-the-shelf can't do the job, we build it — the AquaCat culvert craft, 4x4 elevated masts and custom sensor payloads among them.
Engineering-led
DTA grew out of technology development, and we still build and maintain our own equipment rather than only operating someone else's.

Our equipment
Purpose-built kit
From all-terrain support vehicles to proprietary inspection craft, our kit is built for sites off-the-shelf equipment can't reach. We maintain and adapt it ourselves rather than relying on standard hire fleets.
